De la deslocalización a la relocalización: ¿Qué nos espera?

Muchas empresas occidentales han optado durante las últimas décadas por deslocalizar total o parcialmente sus actividades productivas. Esta decisión, ventajosa desde el punto de vista de los costes operacionales, conlleva una serie de costes estratégicos que paulatinamente han salido a la luz y que los disruptivos acontecimientos recientes han puesto definitivamente sobre la mesa, de modo que en la actualidad se observa un fenómeno inverso, el de la relocalización de las actividades previamente deslocalizadas. El objetivo de nuestra investigación es profundizar en las causas de estas decisiones a partir del análisis de lo ocurrido durante estos últimos años. El empleo de métodos cualitativos en el marco de una investigación exploratoria ha permitido destacar la evolución histórica de esta dinámica y sus causas subyacentes, y propone futuras líneas de investigación en distintos ámbitos.
