Habilidades sociales en la era digital: uso de redes sociales en adolescentes de educación secundaria

Resumen
El uso de redes sociales forma parte de la vida cotidiana de los adolescentes y puede relacionarse con sus formas de comunicación, interacción y autorregulación. El objetivo fue determinar la relación entre habilidades sociales y uso de redes sociales en estudiantes de educación secundaria de Espinar. Se realizó una investigación de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo básico, con diseño no experimental, transversal y correlacional. La población estuvo conformada por 841 estudiantes y la muestra incluyó 291 adolescentes de cuarto y quinto grado, seleccionados mediante muestreo no probabilístico intencional. Se aplicó la encuesta mediante dos cuestionarios de 20 ítems con escala Likert de cinco categorías, los cuales evidenciaron validez de contenido y alta confiabilidad. La prueba de Kolmogórov-Smirnov mostró distribución no normal en habilidades sociales y uso de redes sociales, por lo que se empleó Rho de Spearman. Los resultados evidenciaron una relación positiva alta entre las variables, con ρ = 0,742 y p < 0,001. También se hallaron asociaciones significativas con frecuencia e intensidad de uso, ρ = 0,689; finalidad de uso, ρ = 0,697; y autocontrol y regulación, ρ = 0,655. Se concluye que las habilidades sociales se asocian con prácticas digitales más frecuentes, funcionales y autorreguladas.
